On and around Sunday, 20 May 2012, the 10th International Day of the Baltic Harbour Porpoise was celebrated in five countries along the shores of the Baltic Sea. Eight different events were organized, engaging the public in a variety of ways. Photos and short reports can be accessed here. Since 2012 is also the year in which ASCOBANS celebrates the 20th Anniversary of the signing of the Agreement, a special exhibition was hosted in the Zoological Museum in Bonn, Germany.

An interactive panorama of the exhibition hall can be accessed here: http://www.ascobans.org/ascobans-museumkoenig/whales-museumkoenig.htm.

The ASCOBANS Secretariat would like to express its gratitude to all those who with the many creative ideas and activities contributed to spreading the word about the critically endangered Baltic harbour porpoise!
