The 28th Meeting of the ASCOBANS Advisory Committee (AC28) is scheduled to be held from 26 to 28 September 2023 in Bonn, Germany.  

For the meeting, Parties are requested to report on pressures and threats to small cetaceans as per UNEP/ASCOBANS/Resolution 8.1 (Rev.MOP9) National Reporting

  • Cetacean watching industry
  • Recreational sea use
  • Other sources of disturbance
  • Pollution and hazardous substances (incl. microplastics)
  • Ship strikes
  • Climate change
  • Physical habitat change
  • Other issues related to habitat change and degradation (incl. potential physical impacts)
  • MPAs and other protected areas, e.g. Natura2000 sites
  • Education and outreach

Online registration: Please register here by 27 August 2023Requests for observer status should reach the Secretariat by 28 July 2023.  A completed registration form serves as a request for observer status.  Please note that approved observer organisations may register until 27 August 2023.  Kindly refer to the Rules of Procedure for the ASCOBANS Advisory Committee.
