The 10th Meeting of the Parties to the Agreement on the Conservation of Small Cetaceans in the Baltic, North East Atlantic, Irish and North Seas (ASCOBANS) will take place from 10 to 12 September 2024 in Odense, Denmark.
At the meeting, along with discussions surrounding strategic and institutional subjects, ASCOBANS Parties will consider resolutions on current conservation challenges. These include beaked whales, maritime spatial planning, and disturbance from recreational speed craft.
Many pressures threaten species the world over, in every ocean. By addressing such threats, actions agreed by ASCOBANS Parties at the meeting could not only reduce their impacts on species in the ASCOBANS area but also help raise awareness and contribute to a global response needed to tackle these pressing issues affecting all life in our oceans.
Please register here. Requests for observer status should reach the Secretariat by 12 June 2024. A completed registration form serves as a request for observer status. Parties and approved observer organisations may register until 11 August 2024. Kindly refer to the Rules of Procedure for the Meeting of the Parties to ASCOBANS.
Participants are kindly invited to review MOP10 documents as they become available on this page. Should you experience problems in downloading documents or require any other assistance, please contact the Secretariat.
